My name is Bunni. I am DEAF. I was born 8/23/2024 and weigh 4 pounds (I am still growing). I need a new home because I was released from a breeder as I was born deaf. I am being fostered in Kansas City, MO.

Adopter responsibilities when adopting a puppy:
Finish out two more sets of puppy shots
at 6 months rabies and spay (will be confirmed by MABTR)
at 1 year heartworm test

I love playing with my foster siblings and with my foster parents and with anyone who wants to have a little fun, like me!
I have a lot of confidence and am curious about this big new interesting world to explore.
I get along with dogs and kids and people. I would probably like cats too but I'm a puppy so they may not like me back.
I would rather not be away from you for overnights as I can wake up and feel too isolated and alone. However, my foster parents got me a cuddle plush comfort puppy that has a vibrating heart beat and I love to snuggle against it when I sleep in my crate because it reminds me of my mom.
I need someone who is willing to work with me to learn a sign language through which we can communicate. I'm pretty good at letting people know my needs and intentions, but I know it would be polite to learn to "listen" to what my parents are asking of me as well. My foster mom says I am very smart and am learning new things every day, especially from watching the other dogs in my foster home. At the moment, I like to play hard and then I crash hard for a snooze on my cushy bed. Being born deaf, I really don't feel like anything is missing....except having a person or a family to call my very own.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
