BUFFALO needs his hero ASAP!!

BUFFALO has been waiting since April for a family of his very own. He absolutely loves all people, especially kids!! He always has to make sure to say hello to everyone. He loves sitting with his favorite volunteer just soaking up the sun waiting for everyone to come see him and give him all the pets.

He is handsome, charming and silly —everything you could want!

Buffalo loves to go for car rides. He's ready for adventure!

Buffalo LOVES to play with toys and balls. He collects his toys and piles them up!

He loves his walks! He will sit so patiently in his kennel waiting to be leashed and then he’s ready for adventure!! Lately he’s been stopping at the toy box on his way out the door, he wants a stuffie for his walkies! He loves to sniff and explore on his walks.

Buffalo needs a home without cats or small dogs. He does best with submissive females.

He is potty trained and does amazing in his kennel! He'll be a good match for someone looking for a playful, loving and silly companion. He is a perfect gentleman and deserves a home of his very own!

Buffalo is 5 years old and he weighs 60 lbs.

Sadly, BUFFALO tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We'll begin treatment once he's in a home or foster home. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting him. Once his treatment plan is completed, Buffalo will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!

Buffalo is a people-loving sweetheart with a heart of gold! He wants a home to share his same love for food, toys, and cozy cuddle sessions.


ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
