Buddy - Busy Bee American Staffordshire Terrier & Terrier Mix Washington, IA

Buddy is a young male American Staffordshire Terrier and Terrier mix who recently lost his home due to a breed ban.
He was sad to lose his family and confused when he arrived at our shelter. But Buddy loves people and is so social and trusting that he was running and playing with us in no time.

He loves to play fetch and to make friends with everyone he meets. When he sees another dog through the fence he shows curiosity and then usually goes back to playing. We have not seen him around cats yet.

Buddy is quite small and he comes up to our knee. He has a beautiful sleek black coat and an adorable white stripe down his face.
He loves it when you throw the ball, and he is great at bringing it right back. He has the cutest hop when he runs.

This doggy is described as a 'Busy Bee'. I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings. (Externally motivated)

It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction.

All our dogs have been spayed or neutered or arrangements will be made if currently too young. They will be treated for fleas, bathed, vaccinated against distemper/parvo, treated against general parasites, and if of age, tested for heart worms and vaccinated against rabies. If underage for these things at the time of adoption, they are to be done at the adopter’s cost when the dog becomes of age. They will be microchipped at the time of adoption.
