Buddy Mixed Breed Bellingham, WA

Hi, my name is Buddy! I'm a big boy (75 lbs.) with a big heart. I'm not sure what breed I am, but people figure there's German Shepard, Husky and Bernese Mountain dog (that's where I get my handsome face markings.) I was rescued from a bad situation where I was staked outside in the cold weather. I am a hardy dog, but nobody should be staked outside in the winter night after night. I am so much happier in a nice warm home with my family, especially if their's a soft bed or two for me!

I am very friendly with people and other dogs. I love children and the feeling is mutual. I would like to say hi to everyone! But I'm afraid I don't like cats or deer and would chase any I see. Otherwise, I walk well on a leash and can be taught to walk at a slow pace. I love going on walks because that how I get to meet new friends. I travel well in a car, especially in rides to a park where I can get a change of scenery. I do have a lot of energy as I am only four years old.

My health is very good and I love all kinds of weather. I would probably be happiest in a family with a nice backyard and maybe some children to spoil me. I have been fixed, microchipped and am up to date on all my vaccinations.

I would be a good watchdog. I only bark when someone I don't know approaching my home. I sleep pretty solid through the night and am house-trained. I'll let you know if I ever need to go out for "business."
