Meet Brutus Summer - local boy

**Please read Brutus Summer's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!**

Meet Brutus, an adorable 10-week-old Lab/Australian Shepherd/Hound mix born on May 8th. Brutus and his siblings were born after their mom was abandoned in a hospital parking lot and brought into rescue.

And now these pups are here and his new foster mom thinks he is the sweetest pup ever! And just look at these ears!!! He just can't take a bad picture - it isn't possible!!!

She shares "Brutus is such a doll!! He loves to snuggle, is potty trained and loves getting his belly rubs!! I've been crate training him, when I need to do an errand and he sleeps in his crate at night!! From 8:30pm-5:30am! Then I take him outside to potty and we will lay down, on my couch and snuggle until 7am and we will start our day. He's an amazing and smart puppy! He now knows how to walk on the leash, loves rolling around on the grass, or will play fetch with a stick! He even knows the sit command and paw command!"

Brutus embodies all the charm and energy of a typical puppy. He loves nothing more than playful wrestling matches with his siblings, followed by cuddly nap times. With his friendly nature, Brutus would thrive in a home with other dogs and children.

At his tender age, Brutus is ready to learn and grow with an adopter committed to guiding him through essential milestones such as housebreaking, crate training, and obedience classes. These foundational skills will help him develop into a well-behaved and cherished member of the family.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
