Meet Bruno

Meet Bruno!
Bruno is a 3-4 year old blue fawn Great Dane who is gentle and timid and kind. He was pulled from a shelter in Mississippi as a neglect case.
He’s been with us several weeks now but is still clearly underweight, but gaining steadily.
Bruno is living in a home with a foster dad who has no kids, but five Great Danes, outdoor cats. Bruno is great with them all. He would never hurt a fly.
We are working on building Bruno’s confidence up. He is very timid with new people, places and things, at first, and when he’s scared his instinct is to flee or hide. For this reason he required a properly fenced in yard, no exceptions.
He is house trained. He needs lots of work on leash. When he’s scared he pancakes and doesn’t want to move.
Bruno truly needs a patient human who is dane Dane savvy to help get him more socialized and build up his confidence and self esteem. We believe he would do best in a household without young children who are loud and unpredictable.
He absolutely adores his 5 dane housemates and is playful and boisterous when interacting with them. Not a care in the world when he’s around his pack. They bring him out of his shell immediately. For this reason - we feel he would do best with another large canine companion to thrive. He is also fine with cats, ignores them.
He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and being treated for Heartworms with pro heart 12 shot and doxycycline.
