My Story: I was part of an unwanted litter in Southern MN. My dad was a lab and my mom was half pit bull, half shar pei, so that has given me a unique mixture of DNA! There were five other puppies in my litter! After sitting in a foster home in Southern MN for several weeks without getting adopted, I came up to the big city to find my forever home!

Hobbies: Chewing on toys, wrestling, and frequent naps

Commands/Tricks: After only four days in my new foster home I have already learned how to sit and come. I am working on learning my name too! Sometimes I forget…

Crate / Potty Trained:Crate training: I am crated for 6 hours during the day on weekdays and overnight. Some days I cry a little at first but most days I am ok with the crate. I am partially potty trained- I know it is naughty to go potty inside but I have not yet figured out how to tell my foster mom when I have to go to the bathroom- although I have cried while standing next to the door a couple times!

Activity Level: High.

Fun things I do: I am a very active boy and also very smart! I catch on quickly and if I am not stimulated I will find something to do! My broad head and coloring makes me look a little bit like a pit bull but my personality is very lab; I like to please my people! I am a very vocal dog- when I am frustrated I bark, when I am afraid I bark, when I wrestle I growl, and when I am sad I bark. I love food, so training has been really easy for my foster mom!

Socialization/who I currently live with:I currently live with two adult female humans and two adult male dogs; a 75 pound Australian Shepherd and 25 pound Pug/Rat Terrier.

My Ideal Family:So far I am on my way to being a wonderful ‘breed ambassador.’ To ensure that this is the case when I am much bigger I would really like a family who is willing to take me through classes and teach me all the obedience lessons I will need to be a great community member. Additionally, because I can be pretty vocal someone in an apartment or townhouse may not be the best fit for me!




Bruno is attending Pet Haven's medium/large dog adoption events and his adoption fee is $300 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
