Meet Brooks
Brooks
1 year old male
Mixed Breed
weigh 47lbs
Meet Brooks, a young canine full of life and zest. While he is fully grown, it's important to note that he still has BIG puppy energy. He is intelligent and eager to please. He knows "sit," and is working on "down" and "wait." He learns new things very quickly!
Brooks is friendly, loves to play with humans and dogs, and enjoys regular walks. He would love a home with a fenced in yard, and maybe even another dog his size to play with!
Brooks has loved all the kids he has meet so far, matching their energy and playfulness step for step. Brooks also seems to have house training down with no accidents so far! He does well in the crate for the most part when left. You might hear a little whine before he settles right down.
Brooks initially was a bit of a puller on the leash, but then was introduced to an easy leader harness and walks perfectly now. He would LOVE to be your walking partner for life. By adopting Brooks, you're not just getting a pet, you're gaining a loyal companion who will bring joy, love, and fun into your life.
If Brooks sounds like a dream come true, don't waste any time! Hit that apply button and make his dreams come true.

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
