When we first learned about Brittany, her mom Whitney, and her siblings Courtney, Ashley, and Kyle, we were told that they were picked up off the road after being thrown out of car. It took around 2 weeks for us to open up enough kennels to take the family in. We were distressed when the dogs came in to find them all boney, flinchingly nervous, and even crying out when they were touched. But with just a little TLC, patience, and some extra rations, all five family members bounced back rapidly!

One of the smaller in the litter, Brittany is a sweet, lovely girl whose face and markings remind us a lot of her mom's. If Courtney is the extravert, Brittany is the social introvert. Although she plays hard with her siblings and is soooo happy to get attention and make new friends, her shy and timid nature has not entirely left her yet. If given enough time and the autonomy to choose to enter your space, she sneaks closer and closer to the human in the room, inching her way towards you, tail wagging all the way. In just a few minutes, shes relishing in some high-quality petting. She also looooves squeaky toys and is easily entertained with one as she lazes on a couch.

Brittany seems to be some variety of hound mix, and she's got the vocal prowess of a hound too! She's such a pretty girl now that we can't wait to see her adult appearance.
