Meet Briar!! This poor little guy was found in Mississippi tied to a stop sign all by himself. He was so skinny but so happy seeing someone to come help him. How could anyone do such a thing to a baby?
Briar is now safe with us. He is such a happy boy. Briar will make your day with his loving presence. He has a way about him to make you frowns turn into smiles. Briar loves playing with his toys and enjoys chewing on bones. After a long playtime, he will just crash on the couch and take a nap. You can certainly join him and he will cuddle up with you. Briar is a smart cookie as well who is food motivated, so training will be great for him. Fetching Hearts Rescue requires all adopters to go to training with puppies. This is the most important time for them to learn. We also require that they will not be left alone more than 2-3 hours a day. Puppies are a lot of work and require tons of attention, time and dedication. We take our pups very seriously!!
Briar is waiting for his forever family to pick him!! He cannot wait to grow up with you and go on hikes, vacations, kids sporting events and wherever else you might have him join you. Apply today!!

Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming, Microchip, Flea and Tick Prevention and Heartworm Prevention.
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
