Meet Bree

Due to border patrol restrictions, you'll be required to cross the border and meet in Blaine, WA to receive your pup :)

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet and greet with you and Bree.

Bree is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.

Meet Bree!

Bree is a 2 year old female Catahoula / Lab mix. Due to her bright blue eyes, we also think she could have some Husky mixed in too! Bree currently weighs 55 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find a family to call her own!

Bree was an owned dog who was tied up in her owner's backyard. She got pregnant and had babies all while tied up outside. She was the best momma to her babies and raised them for 4 weeks until we came into the picture. Bree has finished her motherly duties and is doing amazing in the comfort of her loving foster home.

Bree is dog friendly and really enjoys playing with other dogs. She really lights up and is super happy when she gets to meet a new dog friend. She truly doesn't know a stranger when it comes to dogs, she meets them and she's ready to be their best friend! We would say that Bree has a moderate energy level. She enjoys playing in the yard, but will also happily snuggle up with you for some cuddles and a movie.

Bree has never met a cat before, so we're not sure how she would react, but we're happy to cat test her for any potential adopter with cats.

Bree is kid friendly! She is so sweet that we think she'd be great in a home with children of all ages.

Bree walks great on a leash! She does get excited to go on a walk, but once you get going, she will walk calmly by your side or just ahead of you.

Bree is fully potty trained and crate trained! Her foster family thinks she would do well with free roaming too.

Bree has no problem sharing her toys and treats with her doggie foster brother! Her foster mom feeds her in her crate and this has always worked well for Bree.

Bree's ideal home would be someone with a moderate activity level who will take her for walks or someone who has a dog that she can play with. She's pretty adaptable to most living situations. She LOVES other dogs and would love another dog to keep her company, but she would also do great as a solo dog.
Bree is such a sweet and loving girl. One of her favorite things to do is get close and melt into you until she's laying on your lap belly up. She is adorably treat motivated and eager to please. She always takes her treats very gently and politely from my hand despite having never been trained to do so. She also learned "sit" mostly on her own too. She gets little bursts of playfulness that she'll try to get you to join in on. She is just a very happy ,very sweet girl who wants to be your loyal best friend! She is slightly shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly with treats and is always happy to get attention and belly rubs! She is so incredibly loyal and so loving towards her people. If I had to describe Bree it would be "fun, happy and low maintenance"! She makes you feel loved and appreciated. She has the perfect balance of calm and playfulness and loyalty and independence, which makes her such an awesome companion. She's a great walking partner and is always well behaved for any public outings she attends, but if that's not your thing, she's also the perfect couch companion. The only quirk I would say that Bree possesses, is that she will need a secured fenced in yard (if she's adopted to someone with a yard). When she first got to my house, she quickly let me know there was a spot for her to escape through, but once we fixed it, we didn't have any issues.
