Bowie was born around January 2022 and is about 70 lbs. He is 50% Husky, 40% Poodle, 10% lab and 100% total energy! He is best thought of as a goofy and playful puppy. They call him 'the missile' at the park as he rockets into the park with excitement.
Bowie thrives being with other dogs and is his playful, goofy self in canine company. We have learned he is not happy as the only dog in a household. He loves to wrestle in the yard, play chase with the other dogs, and play keep-away with his favorite stuffed toys. A perfect day for him involves playing in the dog park, going on walks, and playing in the back yard. Bowie gets very excited when he sees his leash because he enjoys his walks so much. He can get a little too excited when he sees other dogs or critters but his special harness helps with that.
Bowie also settles down and curls up on the sofa with his foster mom. He is housetrained, does very well in the car, and looks forward to every meal.
Bowie needs an adult-only, dog savvy, home with a confident, playful dog of similar size and activity level. He can be too much for senior dogs. He also will need a fenced-in backyard as he has a ton of energy to burn. We are working on him being left alone, in the company of other dogs. He will need someone who is often home or willing to take him to doggie daycare until he can be left alone for a longer time period.
Bowie is microchipped, neutered, on flea/tick/heartworm preventive, and up to date on his shots.
