Bouncy Boxer Mix New York, NY

3 years ago, Bouncy was found brutally beaten and near death on the streets of Mexico. A rescue volunteer took him across the border to Texas where he received medical attention. Although his life was saved, he ended up living in an outdoor kennel for the next 3 years while his caregiver tried in vain to find him a home. We came across him by chance, and 48 hours later, he's living in one of our comfy foster homes in NYC!

Bouncy turned out to be the calmest, sweetest house hippo. He looks at people with shy eyes, but when you say nice things to him, he literally smiles and lays his big block head on your lap. He is gentle with dogs of all sizes and comfortable around cats. For a dog that lived outdoors most of his life, he is surprisingly well-behaved at home. All he does is move between the dog bed and the couch, and check on his fosters once in a while.

Bouncy is around 5 or 6 years old. He's a little bit rotund at 60 lbs, but his weight loss regiment is going well because he loves to go on long walks and brisk runs with his foster mom. He's truly a gem of a dog just waiting for a deserving family to fall in love with him.
