Meet Borat

Borat is a Bernese Mountain dog mix. He is an adorable, smiley and very well-trained dog. He can be very energetic in new situations but adapts exceptionally well to any environment after his rules are set. He loves walks, people, and is great around kids of all ages and other dogs.
Borat and Cabeto (current owner) have been together since he was one and a half years old and now at nine years old, he is a calm and wise dog who thrives in a family or community setting where he can get lots of love and attention from humans. He has more than 20 commands (verbal and non-verbal) and is keen on more training if/when needed! He is truly a GEM of a dog and a delightful dog to be around, go on walks with, play and have as a companion.
He was raised with young children the first year and a half of his life and loves being around them. For cats, it is best that Borat is introduced slowly to them, but the relationship between him and cats highly depends on the demeanor of the cat.
Borat needs a new home because Cabeto is moving away from Canada. He’d prefer he finds a loving forever home with humans who are willing, capable and have the budget to improve or maintain the quality of life he enjoys now.
To that note, for the past eight years, Borat has always had access to the forest on a daily basis. He has three outings per day minimum with one of those outings being a 45min+ min walk or a (shorter) run. He is a great swimmer and in the summer throwing sticks for him in the river or lake is one of his favourite activities. He is great both on and off leash. Borat also likes walks around the neighbourhood.
These are simply recommendations of what he is used to. He adapts well and the main thing he needs is love.
