Meet Bootsie
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************
We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
Bootsie, 5 years old, spayed female, Staffordshire Terrier mix, 44 pounds. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and is able to transport out of State once an adopter is approved.
Meet Bootsie, the friendliest, most playful pup you could ask for! She loves playing with other dogs, especially those her size or larger. Her style is energetic and joyful—she’s a chaser and a jumper, full of enthusiasm. Bootsie plays well with others, picking up on cues when her playmates want a break, showing off her excellent doggy manners. Whenever she spots another dog, Bootsie pulls toward them with excitement, hoping for a chance to play.
Bootsie has wonderful leash manners, walking calmly beside you after the first few minutes. Though she starts off with a slight pull, she settles quickly, making her a pleasure to walk. She’s fully house-trained and does well in her crate, even though she might let out a little whine initially; she soon settles in comfortably. She’s content being left unsupervised when you’re home and has no food aggression or issues with toys or treats, making her easygoing and low-maintenance.
Bootsie’s energy level is moderate; she enjoys a good walk but is just as happy lounging on the couch with you. She’s incredibly affectionate and absolutely loves cuddling, often curling up next to you for pets and snuggles. Her outgoing personality shines around new people—she approaches strangers happily, always ready for attention and pets.
This sweet girl’s ideal home would have a bit of space for her to run and play. She’d love a home with another dog to keep her company but would do fine on her own too. With her friendly, playful, and affectionate nature, Bootsie is ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever family.
