BOO BOO BEAR is in a foster home without children or cats so we haven't had a chance to observe his interactions with either.

BOO BOO BEAR is crate trained and house trained. He desires lots of attention, and suffers from anxiety if left along for long periods of time. He is an affectionate boy that brings lots of joy to his humans.

Sadly, many dogs in shelters are diagnosed with Heart Worms. If their prior guardians would have simply provided a monthly preventative (pill), this could have been avoided! BOO BOO Bear tested Heart Worm positive during his intake medical exam. The good news is that this is a treatable disease. BOO BOO BEAR will complete his treatment on October 20th at which time he can resume normal activities and will be ready for placement in his adoptive home. Of course, we will only allow him to go to a home in which we are confident his new family will keep him on his monthly preventatives and have him tested annually for heart worms. We do not want BOO BOO BEAR to go through this again.

BOO BOO BEAR has an estimated DOB of 6/07/16 and is believed to be a
Shih Tzu-Yorkshire Terrier mix. Boo Boo Bear weighed 25 pounds as of 6.07.20.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
