Meet Boo
Meet Boo!
Boo is a lovely southern gentleman needing a quiet home to live out his retirement years. At 15 years old, weighing just 12 pounds, he is a super quiet couch potato who would love someone to sit next to or on their lap. Due to arthritis and a bum knee, Boo walks very slowly and for very short distances. Although his eyes and ears don't work great, his nose is top form so he would love to spend quality time taking in the scents outdoors. Boo hasn't had an accident in his foster house so he hasn't had to wear diapers or a belly band. However, he isn't great at letting one know he needs to go out so the person adopting this fine little man should take him outside about every 3 hours during the day. The good news: Boo sleeps through the night without any problems! Boo moves silently through the house like a Ninja kitty and he never barks. He will whine if he is hungry or if he can't see his human. He can't get down from a sofa on his own so he will whine to tell you he is ready to get to the floor. Boo can do only a few stairs but he knows how to use a ramp. Boo would do best with a person that works at home or is retired and is prepared to set up a sleep station in all the rooms where they spend time so Boo see them. He does well around calm cats and dogs but he gets defensive if a dog tries to engage in play. If you want a gentle grandpa, this is your dog!

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
