Meet Blue! He sure wants to meet you as this boy has never met a stranger. Blue is an approximately 1-2 year-old, 50-pound Lab mix who landed in the shelter when his human couldn't bring him to a new apartment. He may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Blue's foster family calls him the anti-guard dog because this sweet boy has never met a stranger! Blue is happy-go-lucky, smart, athletic and loving. Blue is totally potty-trained, and looks for guidance from his humans indoors. He's more exuberant outside and appreciates long, sniffy walks. He loves car rides and adventures.

Blue likes to play with his squeaky toys, he loves to cuddle, and he especially loves doing both at the same time! He's 50lb of typical zesty lab puppy and would do well with another dog or older kids (5+) - he does try to play with his feline foster siblings. His recall skills and leash manners are inconsistent - sometimes he's a perfect angel and sometimes he insists on playing tug with the leash. As with most teenage pups, he just needs a bit more training and consistency. Blue is a Certified Good Boy and would be a great addition to most active families.

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs.
