Name: Blitz. I'm Minnesota Pit Bull Rescues Dog of the Month for May. Every month, they pick a deserving dog (or dogs) to highlight, and they become Dog of the Month. The adoption fee is waived but the normal adoption process will still be followed.

Age: 1 year old.

Activity Level: High energy.

Things I do in my free time: Lots of playing and running around in her fenced yard. She loves walks and playing in the sprinklers. Blitz is a big fan of getting a pup cup at DQ and the occasional nap.

Things I know: A slow introduction to other dogs is important but once they get used to each other and how she plays it goes great! She should be monitored when playing as she is an exuberant player. Blitz is very loyal and once she trusts you she will follow you around and listen to everything you say. She really wants to be someones sidekick and is eager to please, smart and very food motivated.

Things I am learning: She is still learning how to meet other dogs. She has been walking really nice on a leash and has no problem hanging out and napping in her crate.

Kids: Unknown

Dogs: Better without small dogs. Larger dogs who like to play are great!

Cats: Better without cats

Size: Medium 40 Pounds

Car rides: Great!

Blitz is super active and extremely intelligent. She can quickly scale the 4 foot fence at the shelter but doesn't go anywhere and will jump back over on command. She is very food motivated. She was found running as a stray, dragging a feces encrusted rope and soaking wet. Let’s just say she didn’t smell so great herself. She is an exuberant player so I would suggest she shouldn't be in a home with small dogs or cats.

She literally loves to work and is eager to please. She's constantly looking for recognition and acceptance.
