BISCUIT Labrador Retriever Mix Zachary, LA

Biscuit is a beautiful almost 2 year old Lab mix. Biscuit has the size of a giant & the heart of a child. He loves affection & being tucked in next to his hoomans. Biscuit is ready to find his furever family. He'd make a wonderful family dog. He's fully kennel & house trained. He is very compliant and gets into his kennel when directed. Biscuit is joyful pup who wants to please. He's smart & motivated by treats. He's doing well on the leash & adores his hoomans! A quiet, happy dog, he is basically a big cuddle bug! He'd be a wonderful companion dog for an older child to grow up with. He's gotten past the puppy stage so he can play chase and fetch. Biscuit needs a family who is physically able to give him the exercise he needs. His foster family takes daily walks and he loves that. He can stay outside and chase a ball for hours on end! He loves other pups, but needs a proper introduction! Biscuit has a fairly strong prey-drive & is not a fan of cats. He thinks they smell like chicken & tries to "taste" them; so, a home with no cats is where he needs to be! If not for his cat issues, his foster mom said he'd be perfect! In fact, we secretly think they'd likely keep him, but their 2 family cats were there first!

Biscuit's History: He was rescued as a very young puppy from the Walmart parking lot. He was taken in by Must Luv Dogs Rescue. After receiving all of his vaccines and being loved on by his foster family, he was adopted to a very loving couple. He was his dad's heart! They loved playing fetch in his big back yard and chasing his fur-sister. Sadly, Biscuit's father recently passed away and his mother could no longer care for him, due to health problems. Per the rescue contract, we brought him back into the program and now Biscuit is with a very loving, experienced, foster family. Biscuit was understandably confused at first. In a short period of time, he'd lost his beloved dad, family & home. But now Biscuit is adjusting & thriving in his foster home, playing with his foster brother and ready for his next adventure with a furever family.

Biscuit is a loving, healthy pup! His adoption fee is $200. He is up-to-date with all vaccines, neutered, HW negative & micro-chipped.

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED for Biscuit's new furever family we require the following:

*Biscuit's family needs to be physically active. He's a bit overweight so needs to get regular exercise. He does fine alone during the day, but needs a vigorous walk or playtime everyday.
*Biscuit requires a fully secure/fenced yard.
* Experienced pet home with verifiable vet references/history preferred, but we realize that everyone has to start somewhere, so all applications will be considered.
*Verifiable good veterinary history INCLUDING regular vaccination/visits and Good Heartworm Prevention history is a MUST!
*Adopter must be able to have time to spend with the pup and be able to provide the pup a safe environment to live.
*ALL our dogs are expected to be primarily INSIDE dogs. They MUST sleep inside the home. We truly understand that some folks have working dogs (i.e. farmers, ranchers,etc); however, the majority of our dogs have had tough life prior to resuce & we wish to ensure they are showered with LUV & maybe even a bit spoiled for the rest of their lives.

Other facts are also considered, including whether children or other pets are a good fit with the dog.

Must Luv Dogs reserves the right to deny any applications that we don't think are a good fit with the pup. Our first & foremost concern is the dog's best interest. It is our MISSION to place them in a home that is a great fit for their needs for a lifetime of luv & being part of a family.

*We will consider adoptions in any area; however, will do not ship or transport a puppy under the age of 12 mos. We will ONLY transport an adult dog on a transport approved by MLD, at adopter's expense.

Please note that all of our pets are in private foster homes. In order to reduce any stress or confusion for our pups, we require a completed, approved application BEFORE setting up a meeting for any of fur-babies.
