Birdie Miniature Pinscher & Chihuahua Mix Scottsdale, AZ

Hello! My name is Birdie, and I suppose I resemble a cute chubby little bird, but no "fat shaming", please. Yes, I am overweight, I confess I really enjoy food and treats, but I'm working on a weight loss program, and soon I will be svelte and fit. I came in to the county pound as a stray and my owners didn't come looking for me (which is surprising because the vet said I appeared to be well cared for, except for my weight). I was scooped up by Forever Loved, and I am so thankful I'm here with them looking for a new forever home. I am 10 years old, I weigh 13 lbs, and I am a Miniature Pinscher mix. Somewhere along the line I lost an eye, but I can still see out of the other. I will, however, need eye drops for a dry eye condition to maintain my current happy outlook. I have a slight heart murmur, but I don't need meds for that. Whew! I get along great with other dogs, I am sweet as can be, and I am very quiet and content in my "room". My favorite thing in the world, besides food, is snuggling up on a lap or in a comfy "nest" bed. Of course, it would be just fine with me to be carried in your loving arms everywhere, but I can walk nicely on a leash. I also ride well in a car. Not many "birdies" can say that!
