Meet Biff
"What are you looking at, butthead?"
Biff is allll cattle dog, for better or for worse! This athletic and intelligent bob-tailed guy is looking for an active home where he can continue learning how to be a productive member of society. True to form, Biff will test boundaries and can be a pushy adolescent dog, but responds very well to clear rules. He's eager to learn and will really thrive with the right adopter!
Biff has been working on basic manners and training: he has a verbal marker system in place, knows some basic commands, and walks fairly well on lead. He can be reactive to dogs and people when out and about, but is responding well to training. He's an active guy who will do best in a home that can give him both physical and mental exercise: he loves hiking and running, but also loves to work and learn new things. Consider him an adventure buddy in training!
Biff has not been exposed to children in his current foster home, but has done well with dog-savvy kids 6+ in previous homes. He has been doing well coexisting with the dogs in his foster home, however he has a tendency to pester and show rude, pushy behavior if allowed. He can definitely live with dogs and does enjoy playing with them, he just needs a little extra help to keep things enjoyable for everyone! A savvy adopter who is able to continue guiding him towards appropriate interactions would be best in a multi-dog home, as he is still working on respecting and yielding to cues from other dogs. Given his high prey drive towards small critters, cats are likely a no-go.
Biff is 40lbs and about a year old. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives, and is both house broken and crate trained. He is being fostered in Pembroke MA and needs to meet his potential family prior to adoption to ensure a great match.
