Meet Betsy in TN - Calm & Sweet - Loves Hugs!

Beautiful Betsy has a medium length tricolored coat and an adorable freckled nose! Betsy is calm, relaxed, and gentle and loves to give her paw and receive love and hugs. Betsy had a rough start to her young life, living outside and having 2 litters of puppies. But now she’s learning how awesome it is to live indoors and hang out with her humans, whom she adores! She’s great meeting new people too! She is a Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix and on the smaller side. She is housebroken, leash, and crate trained and is very willing to learn new things, but as a typical Pyr she can resist doing things she doesn’t want to, like coming inside. Betsy needs a tall, secure fence as she was previously allowed to wander (the taller, the better!). This sweet girl is perfect with all aspects of grooming. She has a medium level of activity with some bursts of energy, but mostly prefers to sit by her favorite people and watch the world go by. She only barks when she wants to go outside or sees something worthy of noting in the yard. Betsy craves to live the good life with a cozy bed, full belly, and a family to love her.

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
