Meet Bernard
Are you one of those unique people who loves big dogs with lots of hair and copious amounts of slobber? If so, Bernard might just be the dog for you!
Bernie is a 2-year-old Bernese Mountain dog. He was born with a cleft lip and palate and a bifid nose, but they don’t cause him any significant problems at this point. He is able to safely eat kibble and drink water, but he will never be able to eat canned food or any liquids other than plain water.
Bernie is a very unique boy and needs a patient, loving home willing to take things slow with him. He is happy-go-lucky when he is comfortable, but very nervous and shy in new and unfamiliar circumstances. He can be vocal when he’s nervous or excited and would therefore not be a good candidate for apartment living. He is very sweet and sensitive, and great with other dogs. He would do best in a home with a doggy playmate or two.
If you’re interested in possibly adopting this one-of-a-kind pup, please complete an adoption application at www.uaaf.org. If you have questions or would like additional information, please reach out to Jenn by email (jennc@mac.com) or text (801-554-9501).
