Bento Mixed Breed Seattle, WA

Bento is a sweet and playful pup with a heart full of love for his people. Once he bonds with you, he's your most loyal companion-whether that means curling up for TV time, snoozing beside you during the workday, or burrowing under the covers at night to feel safe and cozy. His signature move? The adorable "sploot" position, of course!



Fully housebroken, Bento is great about letting you know when he needs a potty break. During the day, he's generally calm, happy to nap or entertain himself with a bone or puzzle toy. He's a smart boy who loves learning-he already knows sit, paw, lie down, stay, spin, and leave it (though "spin" might take a few extra requests!).



Bento also loves exploring and going on adventures. Outside everything is so interesting to Bento. Birds, bunnies, or passing pups can be so fun to watch or chase. However with some tasty cheese distraction he will focus back on his handler. That is until he sees stick, but he's quick to listen when reminded. He really is eager to please. He loves people and is quite the greeter. He is working on not getting too excited when he sees his favorite people. In foster with consistency and structure, he's making great progress.



If you're looking for a cuddly, intelligent, and spirited companion who will gaze at you with adoring brown eyes, Bento is ready to be your best friend!



Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

To meet this dog, please come to Seattle Animal Shelter at 2061 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119, between 1 - 5 pm Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. No appointment needed! We are closed for adoptions on Monday, Friday, and all holidays. You can fill out a survey in advance and bring it with you: https://bit.ly/SASdogsurvey.



From Foster Care (out of shelter):

1. Copy and paste the adoption survey link into a new tab on your browser: https://bit.ly/SASdogsurvey

2. Download and complete the dog survey.

3. Save the survey to your device with a new file name that includes your last name. Make sure it's filled in when opened again.

4. Put the name of the dog(s) in the Subject Line of a new email. Attach your survey, add any additional information you would like us to know, and send to sasfosteradoption@seattle.gov.
