Meet Benji
Meet Benji! This handsome boy will steal your heart with his affectionate and loving personality.
Benji is an approximately one year old, 70lb, male Bernese Mountain Dog. As typical of the breed, he is generally happy and good-natured and is always eager for cuddles and playtime.
He gets along well with other dogs and cats, but would also be fine being the only pet.
Benji is initially shy and wary of new people and things but will warm up pretty quicky if given space. Once he’s comfortable, his favorite place is by your side.
Benji can be excitable and a bit like a bull in a china shop, unaware of his size and strength. For this reason, he should probably not go to a home with very young children or elderly people.
Benji also loves to be the center of attention. As stated, he does get along with other dogs, but he can be rather pushy when trying to be the primary recipient of his foster mom’s affection. He is very smart and eager to please, however, so his manners are a work in progress.
Benji is housetrained and kennel trained. He requires moderate exercise, and his foster mom is working on his leash-walking skills.
