Meet Ben - in Maine
This sweet boy is in search of his forever family. He’s available for adoption through lucky pup rescue in Maine. His foster mom tells us,
"This is the sweetest and most sensitive puppy we have ever fostered. His heart is so ready to be loved by his forever humans.
Ben is a 1 year old Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. He has spent the majority of his life living outdoors in the south or at a doggy daycare facility. Since being in our home he has bravely learned how to navigate stairs and doorways. He ventured to the beach and courageously took in all the sights, smells and sounds. He loves to chew! He has never chewed anything he wasn’t supposed to while being supervised and does amazing in his crate. He is house trained and recently learned to ask to go outside by going to the door.
Ben absolutely loves to cuddle and is so calm! His fun loving playful side lights up around my 8yo son, but he never takes playing too far. He does jump upon meeting new people sometimes and is quite nervous as he learns all there is to learn about the world. For these reasons, I wouldn’t recommend children under age 8 and only children who are calm and respectful.
Ben does well with female dogs and some male dogs. He has a high prey drive with my chickens, which may make him not the best candidate to live with cats. But he hasn’t been tested with cats yet.
Ben requires very little for the love and dedication he gives in return. He’s ready to learn all the things and experience life with his new family! "
If you have interest in meeting Ben or any of our cuties, please fill out the adoption application here: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/adoption-application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
Thank you for considering rescue!
