Ben, Male, Mixed Breed, 5 years old, 70 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and has been treated for fleas, ticks and internal parasites.

Beautiful, gentle Ben was living behind a big metal container in a parking lot with a tiny cat and a small female dog when he caught the attention of Doris, Bruno Project founder. Doris started feeding them regularly and took Ben in for neutering. Turns out, this big boy had heartworm, so a treatment plan was started and he was moved to the Slaps shelter. Now that he’s free of heartworm and healthy, he needs a home. He’s a gentle, easy boy and very friendly and sweet with everyone. He would be an easy addition to home, even a home with cats and kids.

From the foster: "It might be cold in Canada, but Ben is warming up to life here. He loves going on walks in the snow — especially in the woods — and hasn't minded the weather one bit. He's a bit confused why the dogs and cats in his foster home don't want to play with him but he's very polite and leaves them alone when they don't show interest in playing with him. He was even more confused why there's a big tree in the house if it isn't for marking on but after being told no a few times, he stopped trying. He then discovered toys for the first time and had a blast helping himself to the toy box. He is such a sweet, funny, well rounded dog that I can't imagine he'll be in foster very long but, while he is, we're going to have a lot of fun together.”

Ben is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and has been treated for fleas, ticks, and internal parasites. Ben is being fostered in Bancroft, Ontario. The adoption fee for Ben is $500.00.
