Meet Ben
Meet Beagle Ben, 5 yrs old and a friendly beagle boy! Benny's owner died and he found himself homeless. We got this boy off a chain and into a foster home.
Here is what his foster mom has to say about him:
"Benny is doing fabulous in our house. He sleeps in his crate quietly until it's time to get up. He has only had one accident in the house (pee) - I left him for too long. He gets along great with my two labs. He gives the grouchy old man plenty of space. He is very nose oriented (he's a beagle) - runs around the back yard sniffing away. He does the beagle baying some of the time (mostly when it's dark). During the day he just sniffs and runs. He does look for ways out of the yard, so a fence is a must (and an owner who will be diligent about maintaining the integrity of the fence) - he's a wily devil and will find the one and only gap and get out. He doesn't run away...just sniffs obsessively. The couple times my husband has let him get out the front door (between his legs) it hasn't been that big a problem getting him back, but we live at the end of a long driveway on a cul-de-sac. Someone on a street must be super diligent not to let the escape artist out. He is so attentive and cuddly and super attached to his humans. He follows both of us everywhere in the house. If we sit on the couch, he jumps up to lie down next to us or in our lap. He's a super happy, cuddly, friendly, little sweetheart. Doesn't chew, doesn't get into the trash can. He's a love."
