I'm a shy, yet charming dog who is searching for patient owners with a relaxed lifestyle and enough patience to guide me and help me come out of my shell.
My new person needs to know that I might always be cautious around new people and in new situations, but will love me anyway. I tend to bond closely with my people but can be cautious of strangers. Friendly and outgoing, just a little shy of being fussed with by people I don't know, but if you are polite and respectful of me my heart will be yours in no time. I need a patient owner who will allow me time to adjust and who will not force me into new and potentially overwhelming situations. Despite my big size, I am a softy at heart and want to be kept where my people are. Because I am intelligent and alert, I need daily mental and physical stimulation to prevent me from constantly being on guard. I'm so food motivated, training me will be a breeze, but I will need help learning how to take those treats nicely! I am looking for an open concept home to help me feel more at ease.
