Bella Chiweenie Bethel, CT

Meet Bella, an 8-year-old sweetheart who is looking for a loving home where she can continue to share her gentle nature. At 23 pounds, Bella is the perfect "fun-size" dog—she's got all the loving qualities of a black lab, but in a compact, easy-to-manage body. Our best guess is that she’s a chiweenie (dachshund/chihuahua). With a little diet and exercise, she would ideally be around 18 pounds, making her even more of an adorable package.

Bella's previous owners recently had to move into assisted living so she was surrendered over to us and has adjusted well to her new environment. Bella gets along wonderfully with people of all ages, as well as with other dogs and even cats. In her foster home, she enjoys the company of four other senior dogs and has been a model of calm and patience, rarely barking even when the others are quite vocal.

More than anything, Bella loves snuggling with her humans on the couch and receiving endless hugs. She has a sweet disposition that will fit into any home, making her the perfect little companion. A quiet, easygoing girl, Bella is well-behaved on a leash and knows basic commands like "sit" and "paw." She listens intently and is eager to please, making her a joy to train and interact with. Bella is housetrained and a perfect lady, never getting into trouble. Her adoption fee is $400 and Bella is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. She also qualifies for our Senior-to-Senior program so if you’re 60 years or older, you can adopt her for $350.
