Bella Siberian Husky White Lake, MI

Bella is a beautiful and lovable 7-year-old girl (DOB 8/21/2016) who is sure to steal your heart with her sweet and funny personality. She came to us after her family surrendered her due to their move; they were concerned about her safety, as she had previously escaped from their home, which was situated on a main road. Since arriving at her foster home, Bella has shown no attempts to escape but does like to hang around doorways. She is very content in her current environment, enjoying long naps, seeking love and attention, observing her canine companions, and getting excited for walks or car rides.

When Bella first arrived, she was quite overweight. However, after being placed on a strict diet (no people food!) and enjoying daily walks, she is now getting in shape. This has improved her mobility, making her more active. Bella can be quite vocal when it comes to food; she eagerly anticipates treats and will follow anyone in the kitchen, hoping for something to drop. If you are cooking, she will sit at your feet, thinking that maybe something will fall! She sometimes tries to share food from your plate. Her foster mom is working hard to correct these habits, and Bella is slimming down nicely.

Bella gets along well with the dogs in her foster home, but she prefers male companions over females. She enjoys all the attention she receives from her humans and can be a bit protective of her favorites. While she is not aggressive, she can be pushy when it comes to getting first dibs on pets and affection, especially if treats are involved.

Bella has a quirky habit of loving socks and may try to destroy and ingest any she finds. To ensure her safety, it's essential to keep all socks out of her reach. Aside from this, she does not display any other destructive behaviors and is crate-trained if necessary.

The ideal home for Bella would be one where she can get regular exercise and plenty of love, attention, and TLC. She is a low-maintenance dog and a wonderful companion. Bella would thrive as the only dog but can also coexist with other dogs, especially males. If you're looking for a charming fluffball to accompany you on adventures and shower you with affection, Bella is the perfect match!

We do require a home visit and a veterinarian reference. Please contact your veterinarian to give them permission to release information to us. Once we have reviewed your application and received a favorable reference from your veterinarian, our adoption coordinator will contact you. Please be patient as this process could take several days.
