Name: Bella
Nicknames: Bella Boo, Mama Bell
Age or DOB: Approximately 1-2
Activity Level: Medium. Bella plays pretty rough and gets excited when going for walks. When she is relaxing with her work-from-home foster mama, she finds a warm spot to lay and relax for the day. She is a wonderful coworker.
Things I do in my free time: Bella loves to be by her humans. She likes to join you on all your adventures whether it is out of the house or just to the bathroom. She also loves to go on walks, car rides, and chew on her toys.
Things I know: She knows how to sit and how to go potty outside. She’s not a fan of this cold weather but will brave it for a potty break. This sweet pup is originally from Georgia, so can you blame her?
Things I am learning: She is still learning to walk well on a leash. She gets very excited about walkies but has only been a few because of her previously mentioned distaste for all of this cold weather and white stuff. She is also learning that her kennel is a safe place. It took her awhile to get used to her kennel routine, but now will be a little sad and bark for a few minutes then settle in for a long nap until her friends come back. While she gets nervous being alone, she will typically go into her kennel for a nap throughout the day while the door stays open.
Kids: Bella is a big bouncy dog and will likely do best with older children that she can’t knock over.
Dogs: Bella loves making new doggy friends, but she can annoy them with her excitement. Proper doggy introductions and tolerant dogs recommended.
Cats: Bella has not been around cats or small dogs.
Size: About 40-50 pounds
Car rides: She loves car rides. In new cars, she will venture around and sniff everything to get a lay of the land. Once she is bored with that, she will curl up close to her humans and nap. She prefers the front seat if it is open, but also settles well in the back.
Additional Info from foster: Bella came into rescue with her 8 puppies, known as the Pitch Perfect Litter. She seemed too young for motherhood and appears ready to be the baby of the family. After becoming familiar with the resident dog in her foster home, they have become buds and typically spend the day playing tug and snoozing next to each other. She does have a rowdy playstyle so she would need a playmate that can match her energy (although she would do well as a solo dog too). Bella is a very sweet and happy dog that loves tummy rubs and just being with her people.
