Meet Beau

Introducing Beau, a charming 4-year-old Mountain Cur mix who tips the scales at a neat 46 lbs. Beau is the epitome of a companion dog—sweet, friendly, and eager to please both humans and canine friends alike.

Beau is a bright spark, showing off his intelligence and trainability at every turn. He’s a dream to train, always keen to learn new tricks or reinforce the old ones. His friendly nature extends beyond humans to his fellow dogs, as he gets along splendidly with both small and large breeds, embodying the spirit of camaraderie wherever he goes.

Currently living in a multi-dog household, Beau’s interactions are consistently positive, making him a delightful member of any pack. When it comes to humans, his charm knows no bounds; he thrives on interaction and enjoys the attention bestowed upon him by men, women, and children alike.

Beau boasts a moderate energy level, making him the perfect match for a family that enjoys calm evenings as much as the occasional adventure outdoors. He doesn’t require a large yard or intense activities but appreciates the occasional leisurely walk to keep him engaged and happy.

When left alone, Beau is crated, a practice more for safety and comfort as he adjusts to his life beyond rescue. Rest assured, he shows no destructive behaviors and handles his ‘alone time’ with the utmost grace.

At our rescue, we proactively test all of our dogs for heartworm, a common issue in the southern United States. Although Beau is not showing any symptoms, he tested positive and is currently receiving treatment, which is fully covered by our rescue. He is expected to make a full recovery and continue living a full, healthy life.

Beau is not just house-trained; he's a gentleman of the highest order, waiting patiently to be part of a loving family—be it with a single owner, a couple, or a house full of kids. His affectionate and gentle nature makes him an excellent candidate for anyone looking for a loyal, loving pet to complete their family.

If you’re looking for a well-mannered, sweet-natured dog to fill your home with joy, Beau is ready to step into your life and heart. He’s not just looking for a house to live in—he’s looking for a home to thrive in.
