Meet Beau
Meet Beau,
Beau will need an experienced & strong bully handler. He is truly a great dog but he has quirks. His foster has been working hard with him while also learning more about what is going on inside that handsome little head ? More from his foster mom~
He is a bully and he will act like a bully, kids 12+ are a must with this guy.
He really attaches hard to his people, but he also stresses a lot. He doesn't do well with people who are too soft and it ramps his anxiety up higher. He will need someone to lead the way with confidence.
He has small animal prey drive, no cats, chickens, ducks… He is improving quite a bit when we walk, so I'm happy with the progress there. Even coming off the deer and rabbits a little bit. My big concern with him was how much he stresses. I would say a fence is an absolute must with him since his prey drive is so high. He has a good recall, but I don't know how far he'll run after a deer or rabbit if a fence isn't there.
We will send our trainer in for 6 sessions in home with Beau and his new family, Beau could live with another chill, relaxed dog. But….. The easiest placement is still going to be with him being a one and only. However, he can live with other dogs. But I watch him like a hawk, he always has a leash on, and I don't take any chances.
