Bear is 2 years old and 47lbs.

We cannot say enough good things about this handsome good boy - he is the sweetest dog. Friendly and happy to meet new people and other dogs.

Bear lives in a foster home that includes foster dad and mom, 2 college age boys and 2 dogs. He is on the submissive side and respectful of other dogs. He takes cues from the senior dog in his foster home and will leave her alone. Bear would do well in a forever home with another playful dog, but would also be fine as an only dog. He would love a yard to run around in free play and chase a tennis ball. Bear will match the energy of any dog he is playing with, calm or active.

Bear is calm and quiet in the home and playful without being overly rambunctious in the yard. He loves his people and wants to be near them. Bear is house trained and crate trained. He is crated when his foster family is out of the house for errands and at night to sleep. He keeps his crate clean and is not destructive.

Bear walks well on a leash. He absolutely loves his daily walks. He will happily greet neighbors and wait by your side if you stop to chat with them. Bear also rides well in a car with a seatbelt teether.

Bear thrives with structure and wants an adopter who will continue his training. He is treat motivated, which helps with training. He knows the commands Sit, Stay and Crate up. Learning recall and Leave it. Bear takes treats very gently from the hand. He is not food aggressive and does not resource guard - he will allow you to take toys and food away from him. Favorite toy is a tennis ball, loves to chase them and enjoys chew toys.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
