Bear German Shepherd Dog Mix Woodinville, WA

Bear is a handsome and smart boy who was found as a stray on the streets with his sibling and is just now learning how awesome it is to be a house pup. He’s cautious at first and warms up by showing how fun, playful, and affectionate he is. He likes to look to his humans for leadership, and this will likely continue until he figures out all the in-and-outs of living a more comfortable life!

His ideal family will have lots of dog experience and will be patient while he learns dogs and humans communicate differently. He’s a quick learner and does well learning commands and will benefit from taking classes with his adoptive family. In a very short period, he has been successful getting used his leash and walks, walking on hardwood floors, taking naps, and figuring out that TV is amazing. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night and would do well if someone is not away for long extended periods during the day since he really enjoys hanging out close to his humans. One of his favorite day time activities is to snooze in a shady spot on the deck while his people are working and chatting nearby.

Bear is a medium active dog who will need a 6’ fence due to his past. He has shown a prey drive around rabbits, and it’s unknown how he is around cats. He doesn’t seem to be too interested in the resident birds in his foster home though. He hasn’t been reactive to other dogs while out on walks and it’s too soon to know how he does around other pups in general. He has just started showing an interest in toys and is still learning how cool they are.

Bear is scheduled to be neutered soon and is in good health.
