Meet Baylor A24 ADOPTED
“This handsome boy needs your help ? he is struggling immensely with stress from shelter life. Baylor doesn’t like all the noise and staring at the same four walls with no comfort or love that a 3 year old dog like him is used to ? He’s hurting himself in the cage and needs a rescuer! Up for adoption at @starkcountydog, the first thing this guy did was pick up one from the yard and parade it around proudly ? He loves toys!! Baylor showed anxious energy when he was first out. The yard provided too much freedom to fixate on a toy and running in circles. We recommend meeting Baylor on a leash as he was much more present with us after leaving the yard. He is so loving and adorable!!! Baylor laid down for us to give him a relaxing deep tissue massage and gave us kisses in return. His tail never stopped wagging, so happy to be receiving love ? On our first ever walk together he walked right into the river, splashing around and finding it mighty fun! Maybe he’d make a good outdoor adventurer for his future companion ??Baylor came in with a sister that has since been adopted and now its his turn to find a forever home. Bring your dog(s) in for a meet and greet! This boy would love a relatively active home and one that reads up on decompression after adoption ? Baylor wants to provide a family with all the unconditional love he has to give. Could you be the lucky recipient?
The Shelter Pet Studio is a 501c3 nonprofit that works with local shelters for any pet that’s down on their luck on their journey to a forever home. The SPS is comprised of volunteers and our organization is independent from the shelters/rescues we assist. We are not involved in adoption processes. The biographies we write reflect our experience with a pet. To inquire more, potential adopters should contact Stark County Sheriff’s Office - Dog Warden Division at 1801 Mahoning Road NE, Canton, OH 44705 or call (330) 451-2343.”
All dogs listed as on HOLD are NOT available for viewing by the public, unless you are their owner.
Once a dog is no longer on HOLD, it is able to be viewed by the public, participate in meet & greets, and be adopted!
All dogs listed as OWNER REDEEM ONLY, means they will be adopted by the person who found them if the owner doesn't come forward. They will not be available for public adoption.
All dogs listed as MEDICAL HOLD, are not available for adoption until medically cleared by vet staff.
Adoption cost per dog is $99.00 (puppies under 6 months of age are $150.00). We do adopt out of county/ state, the adoption fee will be $14 less because you will not receive a Stark dog license. The adoption fee includes the following: Stark OH license good for this calendar year, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, Heartworm testing, dewormer, and spay/neuter. Flea treatment will be provided if fleas are noticed. All dogs will be spayed/neutered and microchipped before leaving the facility. An e-collar may be purchased for $15.00. Because most of our dogs were picked up as strays, we have no knowledge of any behavior or health issues. Stray dogs are held for 72 hours so that the owners have a chance to redeem them. After that time they are vetted and placed up for adoption. We welcome and encourage the cross posting of our dog's pictures to increase adoptions.
