Are you looking for a new best friend?

Well then, let me introduce myself,
I'm Baxter, and I am quite handsome (if I do say so myself!)
The staff at the shelter keep telling me I will find a home quickly, and I hope that is true!
I am a young, 8-9 month old, Shepherd mix, and I have a lot of growing and learning left to do!
Running and playing with a ball or stuffed animal are some of my most favorite activities, and if you like to jog or hike, please take me along!
I will admit, I do need to work on my manners and learning how to control my excitement; so someone experienced in doggy training and handling is going to fit me best.
I am very smart and have a drive in me to work, so if you have the time (and some yummy treats), I know we can make the best team!
So far, I do not seem to mind my other canine roommates at the shelter, although I might need to learn how to play properly with another dog….again, sometimes I just can’t control how excited I am!
The staff are unsure at the moment if I could move into a home with cats, and because of my size and energy level, are recommending older children live with me.
I have had my first round of shots, and will be getting neutered on January 11th, (I am not too sure what that is, although, they are telling me it will be a good thing)
