Meet Baron

Meet Baron! This handsome boy is eight years old and came from the Madison County shelter when they had to close down due to Hurricane Helene. When he first arrived, he was badly lame, had a wobbly rear end, and carried his right rear leg. The wobble and the limp are barely visible now and he's doing well on Fish Oil.

He's house-trained, dog and cat-tested, and loves everyone. His adorable thing is to remove the squeakers from stuffies, but he doesn't chew them. He collects them and either holds them or lays on them. The little red heart he's holding here is the first one he liberated from its stuffie, and almost as soon as he got it in his mouth, he laid it on my husband's foot. He gave his heart away. But, he'll happily give it to someone else, too, if they'll love him forever.
