Say hello to Barney, a 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix rocking a stunning red merle coat and a personality as vibrant as his coloring. Weighing in at 57 pounds, Barney is equal parts handsome and hilarious—a total ham who lives to make you laugh.
Barney’s approach to life is simple: have fun, love big, and keep the good vibes rolling. This happy-go-lucky boy is people- and dog-friendly, and he’ll charm you faster than you can say “good boy.” His favorite activities include prancing around the yard playing tag with his dog buddies, flashing his goofy grin, and reminding you that life is better with a little enthusiasm (and maybe a few playful hops).
Barney walks well on a leash but might throw in a few excited bucks when the mood strikes—think of it as his way of saying, “This walk is awesome!” His intelligence and eagerness to please make him a great candidate for training, and he’s already proving to be a quick learner. Barney also keeps his crate spotless, showing off his solid house manners. And while he’s perfectly fine soaking up all the attention, he’d love to share his home with a canine sibling for double the fun.
Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, Barney radiates joy wherever he goes. His happiest spirit makes it nearly impossible not to smile when you’re around him.
