Barley Norfolk Terrier & Australian Shepherd Mix Cedar Rapids, IA

Hi, my name is Barley! I was born August 2023 and might be a Terrier mixed with an Aussie, because I have one brown eye and one blue eye! I'm just under 30lbs currently, and will probably end up a medium sized dog but no one can say for certain. A DNA test would be fun some time!

I am very loving towards everyone, including respectful kids who understand dogs that can be timid at first. I do well with the other dogs I live with, even though they are bigger and constantly stealing my toys! I love cuddles from my humans. I have been introduced to a kitten and I am very tolerant of him pawing at me. He scares me a little, but I do wag my tail while he tries playing with me!

Since I am still shy in new situations I need continued socialization to help me feel more confident! I kennel quietly and keep my kennel dry. I'm doing well with housetraining but occasionally nervous pee with new people.

I currently require a home with a physically fenced yard, because I need more leash practice. I love running and rolling around on my back when I'm allowed to play in a fenced area and my personality really shines!
