MY STORY:

Meet Barkley, a 7-year-old male Shih Tzu with a heart as big as his spirit. Barkley came to us after enduring some tough times—he arrived severely matted, and his nails were so neglected they had curled into painful circles. But even after everything he’s been through, Barkley’s sunny personality shines through.

Barkley is a bit shy, but also very social. Loves to be with people. He has a bit of a motor, so his forever home has to be wanting to give him running exercise. A fenced yard would be ideal.

This happy, friendly, and sociable boy is looking for a fresh start in a loving home. Barkley is ready to leave the past behind and start a new chapter filled with love, care, and plenty of attention. Could you be the one to give Barkley the home he deserves?

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.

Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
