Meet Bark Twain

Thank you Pedigree Foundation for sponsoring my training scholarship with HHHS! With this scholarship, we can attend an HHHS Petiquette class together free of charge after you adopt me. ♥ I can't wait to visit my friends back at HHHS as I continue working on being my best canine self.

Pleasure to meet you - I be you're wondering how I got my iconic name. In fact, Ms. Bradshaw's Shawnee Heights English Class named me and I am their classroom mascot. :) They really wanted to help a dog in need as they study literature this year, which I think is just the coolest. They sponsored my WHOLE adoption fee, so I'm $0 to adopt. They even donated a going-home basket for when I get adopted! So if you fall in love and take me home, not only do you get my unconditional love, we get some bonus goodies, too.

How I came to be at the shelter started when a very nice person found me wandering as a stray. They kept me overnight since it was storming out and said I did great with their kids and didn't mind the storm too much, though I did want to sleep in the bed with them! The next day they brought me to HHHS to try to see if I was lost. Nobody every came forward to claim me, so I was able to come up for adoption and look for a family to love.

I am a pretty big guy at around 66.5 pounds, and when I get excited to go on a walk, I can have a tendency to pull on the leash! Pretty typical for a dog like me, but I'm all for learning and trying to get better with your help. I had the chance to meet a couple of other dogs briefly, and I show signs of wanting to play! My excited energy can be a big much for shy or smaller dogs, so talk to a member of the adoptions team about doing a meet-and-greet with your dog(s) to see how we might get along. Nobody knows if I've ever been around cats, but you can ask adoptions to try to get a bit of insight on that, too. Overall, I'm a happy and friendly guy looking for a family to live life with! Primary Color: Blue Merle W/white Weight: 66.5lbs Age: 2yrs 3mths 3wks Animal has been Neutered
