Meet Balto.

Balto was at risk of being euthanized at over crowded shelter and we just couldn't let that happen to this sweet older dog.

Balto is such a cool guy! He is a panda shepherd with the most amazing colors and patterns. He also has soulful eyes and is obviously quite photogenic.

Not only is Balto pretty rare looking and stunning, he is so friendly and sweet! He is an older gent and a large breed dog so his joints are a little rusty. We just started him on some joint supplements and will need them moving forward to help him out.

When he first came to us we were told he was around 7 years old but now that we have had him for some time we believe he is more like 10-13 years old and really deserves to spend the rest of his golden years in a home, not sitting in a shelter.

But don't worry, this doesn't stop him one bit. Balto is playful and his favorite game to play it fetch. He will play fetch and chase a ball for hours if you'd let him.

Balto is extremely intelligent, dapper, friendly and happy. He can be selective with other dogs but may also just be settling in to his new environment. He is food motivated, knows some commands, and listens pretty well. He is incredibly strong though and does pull on the leash so he will need a strong handler.

Balto is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested, and kept on prevention here with us. HIs blood work we recently ran indicated that he did test positive for Lyme, a tick born illness. He is currently being treated through us.

The first step to our adoption process is to please fill out and adoptions application, it can be found on our website www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. Please email the application to adoptions@serenityanimalhospital.net or drop it off in person during our business hours.
Any questions regarding our adoptable dogs can be emailed along with your application. Please allow us a few days to contact you about your application as we do get many in on a daily basis. We will contact you as soon as possible.
