Meet Bailey

Female, 10 months old, ~40 lbs as of September 20, 2024.

Personality: protective, goofy/funny, outgoing, playful, energetic, adaptable, and loyal.

Hi everyone, my name is Bailey, and I want to meet you! I am ready to bring a burst of energy and fun to your life. My silly antics are sure to entertain you for hours. I love being with my people, but I also know how to be independent.

If you are tired of sitting on the couch, let's get out there and explore everything the world has to offer. I am a smart and curious young girl who loves to explore and learn new things. I already know the words "sit", "shake", and "lie down", plus I'm house and crate trained. To top it off, walks are so fun, and I make it a wonderful experience for both of us - I don't pull!

Did I mention I'm great with other dogs? I love to play, but I also respect dogs who aren't interested. I leave the older dog in my foster home alone, per his request, but have had a blast playing tug of war and romping with more interested dogs.

At the moment I'm still learning about corralling my energy and not engaging in puppy mouthing, so I'd do best in a home without children until I have a little more time to grow up. If you are looking for a lively, energetic, and intelligent lifelong friend, please apply to meet me. Let's make a date!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
