Meet Baby Ruth

Baby Ruth is a sweet, middle aged lady. She was left abandoned in a house and the neighbors heard her barking. The police came and rescued her and took her to the shelter, and after a few weeks she came to us. She loves to snuggle, loves her back scratched, and will eat just about anything if it's wrapped in peanut butter. This friendly girl has just about recovered from pneumonia and even when she hasn't felt her best she still has plenty of tail wags. She went in for xrays to check on her lungs and it was found that she had been shot with buckshot. She still has the pellets in her shoulder. Unfortunately, all those pellets cannot be removed.

Baby Ruth rides well in a car and loves to stick her nose out the window. She will need some leash training because she is quite a strong puller, but we don't think that will take her long to learn! She is still settling into her foster home. We hope to learn more about how she is with dogs, kids, and cats soon!
