This 1-year-old handsome boy might start off a little shy, but give him a chance, and he’ll be your number one cuddle buddy—especially if there’s a couch or bed involved. Axel isn’t just a dog; he’s your next best friend waiting to happen.

Axel’s got a lot going for him. For starters, he’s crate-trained and house-trained, which means he’s got the basics down pat. He’s a quick learner too, especially when treats are involved. With the right guidance, Axel’s potential is off the charts—this guy could ace obedience training like a pro. He’s also got a gentle, playful side that comes out when he’s hanging with other dogs. In fact, he’s lived with everything from large dogs to teeny Yorkies and has been a perfect gentleman with them all.

Axel loves to play, whether it’s a game of tug-of-war with his canine friends or a good romp in the yard. But don’t let his playful energy fool you—he’s just as happy to chill by your side during a lazy afternoon. A fenced yard would be a dream for Axel, where he can run around or simply bask in the sun. Axel is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to his forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!
