Meet Axel

Axel is a stunning male, German shepherd/husky/lab mix. He’s a year and a half old. Axel will literally entertain himself for a long time throwing a ball to himself. He doesn’t like to give it up for fetch. Axel will require regular brushing to keep his coat beautiful. He was adopted from us as a puppy and recently returned because he was said to have allergies. Since coming off of his Apoquel that was left with him, he has not experienced any symptoms. Axel is a jovial, playful boy!

All dogs up for adoption are spayed or neutered and are heartworm tested and up to date on distemper, parvo, kennel cough and rabies vaccinations. We treat for worms and ear mites as well as flea and tick preventative.

We welcome visitors Tuesday evenings 4-7 p.m. Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon. Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may also schedule an appointment at a time that is more convenient for your schedule. Call 217-322-2220 if you have any questions or concerns.
