Meet Aurora
Introducing Aurora: The Energetic Companion with a Heart of Gold
Aurora is an absolute sweetheart who embodies a zest for life that's as infectious as it is endearing. Thought to be about 18 months old, a perfect day for Aurora would include playing with a canine friend in a fenced backyard and then snuggling with her people. A fast learner, Aurora has mastered sit, and stay and is working on broadening her repertoire. A family who is going to continue her training will be a great fit for this smart girl.
Preferring to be with her people more than on her own, Aurora would love a family who is home a lot though she is doing well at her foster home when left alone for a few hours. Aurora loves to go on walks but is still working on how to greet all the dogs she passes as she really wants them all to be playmates. Having a fenced in yard while she continues to work on her leash manners will be helpful. Aurora loves kids though she can be an exuberant player so older kids might be best.
Aurora's dynamic personality and energy make her a unique gem among her peers. From her love for hot dogs and food-motivated training sessions to her charm and playfulness that's impossible to resist. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, Aurora is sure to captivate the hearts of her forever family and bring endless joy and laughter into their lives.

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.
Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
